I long to hold you close, my sweet.
For I must whisper in your ear,
The words I hope you wish to hear,
Upon the day when first we meet.
I'd love to hold your hand and squeeze -
Just a little, if you don't mind.
You could squeeze back, if so inclined -
Which just might send me to my knees.
The sky's the limit - We'll go far,
As we both fuel our shared ascent.
I'll strive to be a perfect Gent,
To match the Lady as you are.
We'll both be free to start anew,
Surrounded by what you've long missed,
That you may live, not just exist -
As this is what I dream for you.
For I must whisper in your ear,
The words I hope you wish to hear,
Upon the day when first we meet.
I'd love to hold your hand and squeeze -
Just a little, if you don't mind.
You could squeeze back, if so inclined -
Which just might send me to my knees.

As we both fuel our shared ascent.

We'll both be free to start anew,
Surrounded by what you've long missed,
That you may live, not just exist -
As this is what I dream for you.

Generation E
We are the generation of Escapists
Forget the Y, X, Z and call us E
Because we
Run away, deep inside
To our obsessive soliloquies and unreal networks
To distract ourselves from this artificial matrix
Of conventions, traditions, red tapes and mouth tapes
Superiors and deceiving exteriors
Interdictions and soothing fictions
And numb brain-dead masses
Call us the generation I for short
For we Imprison our voices
By imaginary choices
Run away, deep inside
To paint the town grey with Neurol and Lexaurin
Laugh at your death with Xanax or Rivotril
Silencing M&Ms to get you in a good place
Erase and replace to fit in, you disgrace!

Help: Words Wanted
Hello. My name is, well, my name is not important. So, hello, my name is Irrelevant, and I want to tell a story. I talk to people all day, every day, and yet, I fail to ever say anything. I want desperately to say something worthwhile, to have a story to tell. Maybe you're exactly the same, or maybe you haven't got a clue what I'm talking about, either because you've already accomplished this goal or because you have not yet realized how ultimately useless your daily words are. For you lucky folk who have made a real difference with your words, be thankful. If you fall into the latter category, hang on to it with both hands. Once the realizat

Angstxiety
I am work weak on Wednesday
in a heap of hangover and hesitation
with fingers on a phone haptically
actively anticipating feedback—
I need that why do I need that.
My angst and anxiety
is constant and courses
and throbs with a pulse
that demands concern
of a baby boomer crooning poetic
in the distance to call me antisocial, or you know,
you could just call me.
If being this busy in an age
of constant communication
feels like having slept
but not feeling rested,
I'd rather cancel my plans
like a responsible millennial
and go to bed.

This brief and simple piece is a Yeats Octave written for Day Two of
ProjectDFC 's December Form Challenge 2015.
As brief and simple as this is, it took me quite a while to write. I'm a bit disappointed with this one. However, my goal is to try to keep up with submitting a DFC poem a day, or at least not get too far behind. I found myself in a rut, using simple words and familiar imagery. Still, it has personal meaning for me, and is meant to have the same for someone special to me. I hope it is an enjoyable few minutes of reading for you.

Day at a Glance
We're SOOPAH excited to have you all here. Hopefully, you're ready for a challenge--this month is going to be EPIC.
You may have noticed, if you've already scoped out the :iconprojectdfc: (Form Chart), there's something fishy afoot! Let's take a look, yes? In the words of our esteemed Mistress of Words, kiwi-damnation ...
This year is about world regions, with 5 major regions with 6 forms each and a wild card with 1. That totals 31. When a day is allocated to a region, for example "The Middle East", you can choose from the 6 presented. Once you have used that form though, you can't use it again.
This means our "Day at a Glance" posts will be separated BY FORM each day, to give a more in-depth look at one specific option. If you picked a different form to focus on, don't panic--we'l
